Buying from Us

We try and make the act of buying from us as simple as possible. Whilst we provide a 'how to' guide below, this website follows standards set by other sites and offers help wherever required.

The concept of online shopping is, in general, well established.

  • Firstly, you locate the part that you require from within our catalogue.
  • When you identify the part that you are searching for, 'Add' it to your basket in the quanty you require (you can change this later).
  • Trade Customers - it is important you 'sign in' using your Charles Hyde Account and Branch numbers and password before you start adding items to your basket.
  • You will now be shown a summary of the items in your 'basket' - these are items that you have selected but not confirmed that you wish to buy.
  • From this screen you can edit your basket or return to browse more pages.
  • While browsing the store, a summary of your basket is displayed in the top right at all times.
  • If you have completed browsing for items and wish to purchase, return to the basket, check quantities and set your location (remembering to 'Update Basket' after changes).
  • When you are happy with your order, continue to 'Place Order'
  • The order management system now takes you through the ordering process securely and clearly. All orders are stored online and collected through a secure connection to CHS so you can be assured that your personal and financial details are not freely accessible.

How we help you get the best from us

Charles Hyde provides a mail-order service to customers who have difficulty obtaining a spare electronic part from their own local retailer. We will identify your requirement and in most cases we will offer you a price inclusive of delivery and VAT for any part that you may require. This service is offered primarily to supply Instruction Books, Remote Controls, external Flaps, Doors, Inkjet Printer Cartridges and other easily fitted external parts.

In the PRODUCT SEARCH box you may enter a Makers part code, a CHS order code or a just a piece of text to assist you in finding what you are searching for. Try entering the first  few characters of a makers code and you will be offered a list.
NOTE: Try entering a model number in the Product Search box to pull up all the parts we list for it.

Important Note

We strongly advise all of our customers that parts for internal use must be fitted by an experienced engineer. Parts often fail because of a related component failure and correct diagnosis is the only way to begin to carry out a successful repair. We are not prepared to exchange internal parts if we believe that unqualified fitting has been employed.

Note: If a part is marked "Discontinued" it means Discontinued by CHS - in other words we can no longer supply it.

Having problems or cannot find a part?

We often find that, for a variety of reasons, customers are unable to track down a specific part they are looking for. If you are finding this is the case, contact us by sending us a mail http://www.chsinteractive.co.uk/contact_us.html giving as much information about the required part and the manufacturer, make and model of the item you require it for and we will attempt to locate it.

Our in-depth knowledge of our product area, along with our extensive on-site database allows us to offer advice that is amongst the best in our industry.

Worried about how your goods will arrive (and survive)?

All goods leaving our warehouse are in pristine condition and packed appropriately. Where items are in stock, they are picked, processed and despatched the same day* Where not, they will be tracked down and ordered immediately (where possible). Additional information on shipping is available on our 'Terms and Conditions' page.

*On orders confirmed before 4:30pm

Delivery Information

We use a combination of Royal Mail, Parceline (DPD) (Next Day Courier) and a Pallet service.

For small orders up to 1 Kilo we use Royal Mail First class post.

For larger or heavier orders we would send by Parceline (DPD).

When your order is picked and invoiced we will send you an email to cofirm that it is leaving our premises.
